About Me

I currently attend Full Sail University and I will be graduating with my Bachelors in Computer Science in August 2010. I am enrolled in their Game Development Program. I have studied many topics including DirectX, OpenGL, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, and Data Structures all in preparation for my final project here at Full Sail.

As a child, I grew up in the suburbs outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I grew up with the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64, meaning that I loved video games. Any RPG by Square and anything made by Rare were my favorite games. Because of my analytic nature, I wanted to know how those games work.

I was first interested in programming when I was about 13 years old. I had messed with a tool called Game Maker until I wanted to do more with my programs. I searched for an answer and that answer was C++. After beginning C++ and learning the Simple DirectMeda Layer (SDL) API, I decided that this was what I wanted to do for a living.

At the age of 15 I started becoming interested in web development, thinking I could make a browser based MMO that I had called NeoTactics. It was a great learning experience getting the entire engine up and running with many gameplay elements, but I simply did not have the time to get all of the content together.

When I turned 16 I began working at Best Buy selling computers, and soon after becoming a Geek Squad agent. I loved working there, almost as much as I had loved programming. While I was working full time at Best Buy, I did not have the time to do much programming or web development. After graduating high school I knew I wanted to focus more on programming so I enrolled in Full Sail’s Game Development Program and quit Best Buy.

Currently I am working towards my goal of joining a game studio. I want to apply my passion and knowledge to help a team collaborate on games that will be known and loved by all.
